Christa was born and raised in a village in the south of Germany close to Munich. She started painting at the age of six, inspired and influenced by the simple farm life and mother nature . She learned the trade of professional interior design and upholstery in Starnberg, Germany. As a result of these studies she gained many technical skills such as drawing, colour selection and business skills. She opened her own business in Starnberg, Germany in 1978 and was successful until she immigrated to Canada in 2000, where she re-opened her business in Revelstoke BC . At the same time she started a Bed and Breakfast “Alpen Rose” with her husband Richard.

After retiring and moving to Quesnel BC in 2008, she started painting again and attended an acrylic painting class in the spring of 2010. Participating at the Tony Only Project in Wells with mentor Harald Klunder and Libby Hague was a wonderful learning experience for her.

She had solo exhibitions and attended group shows and arts festivals in Quesnel, Smithers, Wells, Williams Lake, 100 Mile House and Prince George.

She has sold many paintings in Canada and Germany. Her work can be viewed and purchased at the Art Gallery in Quesnel , the Breeze Gallery in Quesnel, the Groop Gallery in Prince George, as well as the following online galleries:
